The majority of our data collections can be downloaded free of charge for non-commercial purposes.

Some data have restrictions placed upon them for certain types of users or uses of the data. You should first check the relevant catalogue record for details of any restrictions. If you require data for commercial purposes, administration charges will apply which include a fee for the project/usage and a fee for each data collection required. If data are requested on portable media, e.g. CDs, postage and packing fees will also apply.

VIEW CHARGES

If data are requested from a non-UK archive, the charges of the originating archive may apply, but users will be notified of these before the data are supplied.

ESRC applicants who have been asked to assess the costs for preparing data for archiving, should consult advice for Je-S applicants on the UK Data Service website.
