Visiting the UK Data Archive
The UK Data Archive is situated on the Colchester campus of the
University of Essex in the Social Science Research Centre (SSRC)
building.

TRAVEL TO THE COLCHESTER CAMPUS
BY BUS
1 of 9: Get off the bus stop at the Valley Road junction, near Square One.
2 of 9: Walk towards the University on the left hand path to go in the lift.
3 of 9: Alternatively, use the stairs to Square 1.
4 of 9: Turn to the left and go through the automatic doors. The lift is to the right. Go to the 4th floor.
5 of 9: Turn left as you leave the lift, go to the end of the corridor, through the automatic doors and over the bridge.
6 of 9: You are now in Square 2. Walk to the left, past the large silver bin and through the passageway.
7 of 9: Cross the bridge to our building.
8 of 9: Enter the building and go up one flight of stairs. Turn right and go through the green door towards the UK Data Archive.
9 of 9: The blue door ahead of you is the entrance to the UK Data Archive. Dial 2001 on the phone on the left side to be let into the building.

BY TAXI
1 of 9: arriving by taxi, ask to be dropped off in the North Towers car park.
2 of 9: Walk past the barrier and between the four towers.
3 of 9: At the fourth tower, Rayleigh, turn right by the sign to the Health Centre, Greenwood House.
4 of 9: Follow the path past the Health Centre.
5 of 9: The SSRC building is the white building to your left.
6 of 9: Walk down the red path to the entrance.
7 of 9: Pull open the glass entrance door.
8 of 9: Once in the building go diagonally right and through the green door towards the UK Data Archive.
9 of 9: The blue door ahead of you is the entrance to the UK Data Archive. Dial 2001 on the phone on the left side to be let into the building.
