DExT commissions the Open Data Foundation

The UKDA and the Open Data Foundation (ODaF) have initiated a collaborative project to work on DExT model and tools. Consultants from the US have helped the project make great strides in building a viable data model, and finalising version 1 of the schema for qualitative data exchange. Work on the survey data conversion tools is also proceeding well with the consultants releasing a model and conversion tools. The first conversion tool to be built uses SPSS as an input format and supports export to SPSS, Stata, SAS and ASCII.
