Individual file can be used separatedly but the household file should be merged 
with the individual file through variable SERIALX

Variables diffvc, diffev, sdfev, medn, medn1-medn15 are intermediate variables
used to create other derived variables

In the file intproj.doc  there is in Appendix C Practice Interview Check letters. 
The serial numbers run from 999011 to 999471 in the machine readable file and 
from 997011 to 997471 in the paper version, but this does not affect the 
study's use.
