This event is now full and booking is closed.

Participants will learn about the strategies and practices used by the UK Data Archive in our daily work. The Archive has over 40 years of experience in the areas of selecting, ingesting, curating and providing access to data. We are a designated Place of Deposit for The National Archives and are internationally acknowledged experts in this field. The surgeries will enable participants to engage with Archive experts on an informal basis, to pursue their own lines of enquiry and to look behind the scenes at some of our specialised activities.

Prerequisites

In order to participate fully, participants should be actively working with storing and sharing social science data, or plan to in the near future. This course is unlikely to be suitable for undergraduate or postgraduate students unless working in a data archiving environment.

Certification

A certificate of attendance will be issued on completion of the workshop.

Cost

The cost of the workshop is £100 and includes all workshop materials, coffee, lunch, and drinks reception on day one and coffee on day two. It is non-refundable unless advance notice of seven days is given.
