Article dated: 22-Jan-10

The UK Data Archive (UKDA), which hosts the Economic and Social Data Service (ESDS), and other services, is participating in a study commissioned by the Research Information Network (RIN) and JISC to explore the long-term use and benefits of Research Data Centres. The study will be featuring the activities of a small number of well-established UK Data Centres, including the UK Data Archive, and aims to document the benefits and impacts that effective sharing of research data can deliver to the scientific community and other users. As part of this study Technopolis Ltd is carrying out a survey to collect information and views from the users of the UK Data Archive. We would be very grateful if you could contribute to this study by completing their online questionnaire.

It is estimated that the survey will take around 15-20 minutes to complete. Your answers will be saved automatically. All individual answers and comments will be treated as strictly confidential and non-attributable, and responses will be anonymised prior to analysis.

The survey will be closed on Friday 12 February 2010.

If you have any questions or comments about the survey contact Neil Brown of Technopolis.

Thank you in advance for your participation and input to this study,
