Staff vacancy: ASP.NET Systems and Applications Developer, UK Data Archive

The UK Data Archive is seeking to appoint a Systems and Applications Developer to join the Information Development and Programming section.

The section provides support for the critical needs of the other divisions in the UK Data Archive, developing, maintaining and updating internal and external systems which are in everyday use. The Archive has recently adopted a Continuous Integration and Testing approach to software development, using a suite of well know source code management, scripting, build and testing tools and all members of the section use Continuous Integration and Testing on a daily basis.

The Archive operates a Secure Data Service (SDS) which is being enhanced and extended during the next 14 months. The post holder will work with other members of the Information Development and Programming section to ensure that the software development aspects of the SDS project are completed on time and to a high standard. Among other skills and experience the successful candidate will be a graduate in a computing related discipline and have experience of using ASP, ASP.NET and C# in a production environment. This is a fixed-term post for 14 months.
