Researchers invited to share views on future EU research needs

Article dated: 14-Jan-11

Eurostat, the statistical agency of the European Union, is conducting a large survey of different statistical communities in order to understand the future needs for research activities to be launched over the next 3 to 10 years.

Three universities - University of Trier, University of Helsinki and University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland - have been contracted by Eurostat to carry out this work.

The objective is to integrate all the views and visions regarding research needs in statistics and related areas into a consistent research programme for the benefit of and implementation into official statistics.

Input from active researchers is therefore essential.

To register your views, complete this simple online questionnaire.

In most cases, this should take 10 minutes of your time.

The last day of the survey is 21 January 2011.
