Extended deadline for October data archiving workshop

In order to accommodate last-minute requests, the UK Data Archive will be accepting applications unitl Friday 7 October for its two-day workshop, How to Set Up and Run a Data Service, scheduled for 13-14 October 2011.

The once-a-year workshop is designed for those who are actively working with storing and sharing social science data, or plan to in the near future.

Participants will learn firsthand about the strategies and practices used in the Archive's daily work, with a focus on storing and sharing social science data, including microdata, aggregate, qualitative and historical data.

In addition, there are a limited number of scholarships still available through the Digital Preservation Coalition.
