Staff vacancy: User Interface Developer

The UK Data Archive is seeking to appoint a User Interface Developer to join the Technical Services section of the UK Data Service.

The section provides support for the critical needs of the activities of the UK Data Archive, including the ESRC-funded UK Data Service, developing, maintaining and updating internal and external systems which are in everyday use.

The post holder will be responsible for the design, development, quality assurance and maintenance of all aspects of the User Interfaces pertaining to the Archive's product portfolio.

The post holder will have a first degree (or equivalent qualification) in a computing related discipline and have experience of using standards compliant HTML4, XHTML1 and CSS2 in a production environment and be able to design and author Javascript in a production environment. You should also have good written and oral communication skills. This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 12 months.
