Vacancies for Senior Collections Development and Producer Relations Officer and Senior Data Curation Officer

Article dated: 22-May-15

The UK Data Archive is seeking two data scientists to join our Collections Development and Producer Relations and Data Curation teams.

The two posts will work closely together but each has a slightly different focus. The Collections Development and Producer Relations post will focus on scoping, assessing, brokering access to and licensing data, while the Data Curation post, as well as QA activities, will focus on assessing data, preparing data and products for publication and creating documentation and metadata. The ability to think algorithmically in relation to handling and presenting data will be a key asset of each post holder. We are actively seeking one candidate with experience in working with large datasets in the biomedical field.

These posts are full-time and fixed term until 30th September 2017. Due to the nature of the work in the UK Data Archive applicants who are offered employment will be subject to a vetting procedure before the appointment is confirmed.
