Relu data management policy
The Rural Economy and Land Use (Relu) Programme's
data management policy enhances
the capability for interdisciplinarity and strives to advance current practices in research. It is based on the principles that:
- publicly-funded research data are a valuable, long term resource with usefulness both within and beyond the Relu programme
- data generated by Relu projects must be well managed to exploit them to the maximum
- data must be made available by researchers for archiving at the UK Data Archive and CEH data centres
- Relu funds support data management throughout the life of the Relu Programme
- post-Programme data management will be the responsibility of the research councils via existing data service providers
The Relu data management policy draws on current best practice in data management and sharing, embodied in the data policies of the funding research councils:
